I often get asked about my live wedding painting process, so, here it is!
Couples usually ask me to paint either their wedding ceremony or first dance. I am happy to paint either event! I also offer the option of Oil painting on canvas or Watercolor on paper: couples decide which medium they want! I arrive ahead of the event that I am painting to setup and start painting the background. I bring everything that I may need and usually request access to an outlet to setup my light. I take photos during the ceremony or reception for my reference. I continue to paint and usually have the painting finished by end of the event (unless the size is larger than 18×24 or the schedule is short/ late). I offer the option of framing oil paintings. I currently do not offer framing of watercolors. You can always frame either one later on your own as well. If the painting is not finished for any reason, I will take it back to the studio to finish it. Smaller sizes take less time to paint and larger sizes take longer: however, I am committed to creating a beautiful panting for you regardless of the size and amount of time!
I am happy to interact with guests while I paint! And if the painting inspires one of your guests to pickup a pencil or paint brush, that will be a bonus!
If my live wedding painting will enhance your wedding, please contact me to check on the availability!
Here are couple of samples: ceremony painting in oil and reception painting in watercolor.
